TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Hello
Sorry that I am unable to write in German. But Google will help me the other way.
DSD Installed, programmed and works perfectly via the software. Set to addr 225 in ECOs and TC9 as well.
All 3 DIP set to off, also tried with Marklin protokoll on SW2 wilh no change. Now set to DCC.
The TT will not react on any commands from TC9 or ECOs ?? What have I forgotten or overlooked ?
S-88 bus works fine and a train on the bridge can move.... I am totally lost HELP please
Best regards
Jan

Re: TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Hallo,
Where do you want to receive the commands? S88 or DCC? You have to connect the Jumper to the right side. Left/Middle: commands over DCC (Connector x5)
Right/Middle: commands over S88.
Greets ,
Guido

Re: TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Thanks Guido
But as I understand S88 it is a one way direction information and not a two way protokol ? Is this not correctly understood ?
I have tried communicating in both MM and DCC with no result, so I believe there is also something else wrong.
I will test later this afternoon.
Best regards
Jan

Re: TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Not necessarily that´s so. Normaly it is one Way. But you can have the Signal "Raildata" in your S88 Bus. For example i´m steering my dsd2010 with this. I have no cable in the DCC plug from the DSD2010.JanThyregod hat geschrieben: ↑Mo 4. Mär 2019, 13:28 But as I understand S88 it is a one way direction information and not a two way protokol ?
If you are steering with DCC, the "normal way", than the jumper have to set to the left side and the DCC cables from your Ecos have to be in X5, the DCC Plug. And than the green LED have to light.
That was my question.
Greets,
Guido

Well everything is connected according to manual and the S-88 bus works but not if I change the jumper.

Re: TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Hello,
the digita-commands should com via X5 from ECOS.
Traincontroller will send the commands also via ECOS.
LED4 ( green ) indicates that there's digital signal at X5..
These digital-Commands must come to the microprozessor (Pin17) via Jumper X3 (K1-K2 )
The jumper X3 connect the left and the middle pin!
See part "Befehls-Empfang 1" in the schematic. http://www.digital-bahn.de/shop/media/p ... ltplan.pdf
There you'll see an Opto-coupler OK3. ( Does this part work correct? )
Watch all the Solder-Pins in this Area for good contact and the signal is not shorted to ground.
Some people had problems there.
In Traincontroller you must choose TT-Type: "Märklin-Digitale Drehscheibe 7686 und Kompatible" for the DSD2010
The switch SW2 must have the positions: 48 Positionen( off) - MM or DDC - off
Sorry i forgot something!
There are two differnt Commands
1. The Train-Commands
2. The Signal-Commands
The DsD2010 needs to have Signal-Commands on X5.
You must connect X5 to the Digital Line with Signal-Commands.
If Ecos sends Train- and Signal-Commands on the same Line it's ok!
Last info from TC-Forum:
The ECos can only send MM-Commands to control a Turntable.
Good luck!

Hello,
2 things to check fist:
- LED 4 (green) must be on if your ECoS is ON. If not, Ecos is not connected to X5 "Rail Befehl"
- LED 2 (yellow - the only one on the board) must be on for 0.5 sec. if you send an turntable command (or any other switching command in the used data format). If not, change DIP to MM Data format (ECos uses always MM for the TT symbol, that is correct) / or your Jumper is not set to "left" position
If you have this going, you may proceed with thinking about addresses...

Re: TC9 Gold, ECOs 50200 and DSD2010
Hello,
one very important note for ESU ECOS an TC user:
if you set your TT on "märklin compatible" protokoll
you must change the setup protocoll of the ECOS for
magnet article to "MOTOROLA"!
The preset on ECOS is DCC.
Otherwise the TT and TC can't communicate.
I have to learn this fact this week.
Thank's to TC-Forum.
